A special meeting of the Rootstown Township Trustees opened at 5:30 p.m. on August 30, 2011. Those in attendance were Trustees Diane Dillon, Bonnie Howe and Brett Housley, JoAnn Townend, Fiscal Officer and Road Superintendent Bill Hahn.

The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m.

The purpose of the special meeting was to open bids for the 2011 Road Improvements for: Gower Road, Marks Avenue, Rosalind Drive, Judy Street, Reiss Drive, Pfile Drive and Case Avenue.

Bids were opened and read aloud by JoAnn Townend, Fiscal Officer, they were as follows:

1. Shelly Company $167,965.00
2. Tallmadge Asphalt $177,999.00
3. Perrin Asphalt $174,413.60
4. Barbicas $198,881.00
5. Central Allied $183,868.00
6. Ronyak Paving $183,520.00

Resolution No. 2011-144 – Motion made by Diane Dillon and seconded by Bonnie Howe to award the 2011 Road Improvements bids to the Shelly Company in accordance with review and approval from both the County Engineer and Prosecutor’s Office. Upon roll call the vote was as follows: Diane Dillon, yea; Bonnie Howe, yea; Brett Housley, yea.

Resolution No. 2011-145 – Motion made by Diane Dillon to adjourn at 5:45 p.m. Upon roll call the vote was as follows: Diane Dillon, yea; Bonnie Howe, yea; Brett Housley, yea.
