The regular meeting of the Rootstown Township Trustees opened at 5:30 p.m. on December 22, 2009. Those in attendance were Trustees Bonnie Howe, David Armentrout and Diane Dillon, and JoAnn Townend, Fiscal Officer.

The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m.

Resolution No. 2009-248 – Motion made by Diane Dillon and seconded by David Armentrout to approve the minutes of December 8, 2009. Upon roll call the vote was as follows: David Armentrout, yea; Bonnie Howe, yea; Diane Dillon, yea.

Resolution No. 2009-249 – Motion made by David Armentrout and seconded by Diane Dillon to promote Justin De Luke to lieutenant in the Fire Department. Upon roll call the vote was as follows: David Armentrout, yea; Diane Dillon, yea; Bonnie Howe, yea

Resolution No. 2009-250 – Motion by David Armentrout and seconded by Diane Dillon to pay bills on file with the Fiscal Officer. Upon roll call the vote was as follows: David Armentrout, yea; Diane Dillon, yea; Bonnie Howe, yea.

Resolution No. 2009-251 – Motion made by David Armentrout and seconded by Diane Dillon to approve line item supplements. Upon roll call the vote was as follows: David Armentrout, yea; Diane Dillon, yea; Bonnie Howe, yea.

Resolution No. 2009-252 - Motion by David Armentrout and seconded by Diane Dillon to approve 2010 appropriations. Upon roll call the vote was as follows: David Armentrout, yea; Diane Dillon, yea; Bonnie Howe, yea.

Resolution No. 2009-253 – Motion made by Diane Dillon and seconded by David Armentrout to convey as a gift the sanitary sewer to the Portage County Board of Commissioners. Upon roll call the vote was as follows: David Armentrout, yea; Diane Dillon, yea; Bonnie Howe, yea.

Troy Cutright was in attendance and requested the date for the yearly meeting with Trustees and that the ZBA be given earlier notification of the annual Cleveland zoning seminar.

David Armentrout submitted a letter of resignation as Township representative for both the Rootstown Chamber and Regional Planning Commission. He also donated a book to the Township on guidelines on parks, recreation, open and green spaces.

Resolution No. 2009-254 – Motion made by David Armentrout and seconded by Diane Dillon to adjourn at 6:00 p.m. Upon roll call the vote was as follows: David Armentrout, yea; Diane Dillon, yea; Bonnie Howe, yea.
