Also in this hallway is the watch office.

This area of the station is designed to handle communications and dispatching. Although our dispatching is currently contracted to Ravenna City Dispatch, we have the ability to answer the secondary emergency line 330-325-1414. There is a radio that has the ability to, dispatch and communication with, all EMS/Fire responders in the county, includiong Rootstown Township.

Within this area we also have a computer mapping program set up directly to dispatch. When rootstown is dispatched to a call, it shows the location of the response address on a map. This comes in very useful when responding to a mutual aid community.
