Diane Dillon is currently serving her 3rd term as Rootstown Township Trustee. She is co-owner of Dillon Realty in Rootstown with her husband Rob. She is a graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, where she worked in the Computer Science Department for 20 years.
Diane is currently the trustee liaison to the Rootstown Fire Department. She also has spearheaded the purchase and development of the 36 acre Rootstown Park off of Case Ave. It has grown from 36 acres of vacant farmland, to a family park featuring a 2 acre stocked lake, 2 picnic pavilions and a playground.
Diane encourages any resident with a question, suggestion or comment about Rootstown to contact her, or any of the other elected officials or to attend a township meeting. She feels her main goal as Trustee is to guide the township in the direction it's residents would like to see it progress, and feedback from its residents is key to accomplishing that goal.
Brett A. Housley

Brett Housley is currently serving on his first four-year term as a member of the board. He is a graduate of the University of Akron School of Law. Today Brett is an attorney, working in the area of real estate and litigation for the law firm Reimer, Arnovitz, Chernek and Jefferey Co. LPA.
As a member of the Rootstown Township Board of Trustees, Brett has focused his energies on zoning, economic and budget issues confronting the Township. As a Trustee, Brett has served as the liaison over the zoning department. As a resident, Brett takes great pride in the community; he has served as coach and participated in many community functions. He encourages all Rootstown Township residents to contact him with their concerns or suggestions regarding issues impacting them or the township.
Brett's family includes his wife, Tracy, his three daughters and dog Tinkerbell.
Joe Paulus

Joe Paulus is in his first term as a Rootstown Township Trustee. Joe was born in Rootstown and graduated from the Rootstown Schools. He joined the U.S. Air Force for six years and then worked for defense contractors. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology and is the co-owner of Aloha Computer Services in Rootstown. He is a member and a past-President of the Rootstown Area Chamber of Commerce. He is also a past-President of the Rootstown Lions Club. Actively involved in Rootstown community events, he also coaches youth soccer. Joe is married to Delia and has two sons.
Joe is determined to keep Rootstown a great community and plans to help keep it fiscally strong despite the federal and state financial cuts. He is the Roads and Cemetery liaison for the township and is strongly supportive in preventive maintenance of our roads and maintaining a pleasant and well-run environment at the cemetery. He is also the Township representative to the Portage County Regional Planning Commission and the Portage County Township Association. Joe is here for the residents of Rootstown and relies on their input to be the best representative he can be. He is lucky to have two other Trustees that are willing to be open and work together to make Rootstown the best that it can be.
JoAnn Townend

JoAnn Townend was first elected as Fiscal Officer of Rootstown Township in November 1999; re-elected for three successive terms and continues to hold that post today.
JoAnn's professional experience includes working as the Director of Internal Services for Portage County - managing departments that include: Purchasing, Building, Printing, Microfilming, Motor Pool, Human Resources and Safety and Loss. She has been with Portage County for over thirty-seven years.
JoAnn is also currently the chairperson for Neighborhood Development Services, a Corporation dedicated to the revitalization of neighborhoods and communities through the provision and/or promotion of affordable housing, environmental sustainability, economic development, and job creation primarily for the benefit of low and moderate income households.
Married to Ken, they both enjoy restoring old vehicles, cruise-ins and most of all their dog Sammy.
